I took my car out of winter storage and I was on my way to work today and I had it turned up quite a bit and then all of a sudden everything(all speakers) started to get static and distortion is that the pre-outs on the deck that are fried or what? I don't believe it is the amps or anything cause everything went at once. The deck is a Pioneer P920r 6 volt or 7 volt out. Did I have the gains too high maybe? Also, the LED Light in the front of the amps just dim hardcore now and never did before. Anything you guys have for info that could possibly help me out before I start dismantleing everything would really help! Thanks in advance! LOUD88Z(BRIAN)

P.S. I am gonna take my sub amp out and hook it up to a buddys system then I guess I will know if it is the amps. Also if iit is the preouts anyone wanna fix it let me know loud88@shaw.ca I don't trust the local shops here!

Not sure about the 4 channel for my fronts and rears dimming because it doesn't really suck alot of juice but ya the leds on the sub amp started to dim like it was hard for the amp to push the subs so I disconnect 2 of the subs and left 2 hooked up and it still dimmed out!

I really can't tell about any distortion to the subs but once it gets a little loud then thats when the leds dim and you hear distortion. Can you tell me anything???

K I have one for ya now! When I first fire up the deck after it has been sitting and cooled down it works and slowly starts to get distorted and then just completely loses sound with a crackle here and there? This is really bothering me! Keep in mind I can't test anything right no(raining)but I am taking everyones ideas and trying them. By the way guys thanks alot for all the help! I love this board for this stuff always a great fast response so thanks to everyone. Also another question is if the preouts were smoked what exactly would it be doing???

talk to a buddy with an aftermarket deck, run rca's from his car to your amps and play it, if th problem goes away then it's your deck if not then it's something else. when u do this dont forget to put power to your remote wire on the amps.
