I have a 2003 Toyota Celica GT-S, and right now all I have is stock speakers, a 12" kicker L7 in a ported box, a JVC touchscreen headunit, and a lightning audio 400w 2 channel amp. I've ordered 2 more kicker L7's and I need some ideas for a box. I also don't know what I should get for speakers and an amp? The box I have now takes up most of the trunk, so i've decided taking out my back seats is going to be a necessity. Anyways, I just need some ideas for a box, some speakers and a new amp. Thanks Oh and also, the L7 I have right now is a 2006 model, and the new ones are 2011 models. Other then the appearance is there going to be any difference in performance?

 

what are u wanting somthing for sound quality for alot of bass >? ive seen celicas and acuras get loud with a crx style box so subs forword aero ports back if ur wanting some good bass and to still sound good id do internal aeroports firing back subs forword contact db don on here hes close to you and knows a thing or to about boxes

 

What's your goal?

If you're thinking of using 3 subs than keep in mind the 06 and 11 might be different so check the site or email Kicker. If you're staying with L7s than you might as well use 2 12's as you probably don't have the room for 3 (6ish cubes NET?).

What's your electrical like (batts, alt, big 3)?

If you're taking out the back seat than you might as well sell your current gear to buy bigger & better subs.

I'd do a 6-10 cube ported wall with 2 Audioque SDC2.5-15's with their 1200W amp. No need for a high-output alt, just needs a battery and the big 3.

Partsexpress has cheap ($8-$32) 5.25" mid's (57-7000 Hz).

Aero backwards with sub forewards - you sure? Will they load properly? Why not sub up and port foreward? Better yet a wall?

 

my buddys doing 149 in the same car same year with a crx box 2 6 inch aeros to the back 2 12s forword off 1200 watts so yes im sure and thats with no deadning

i was very surprised hes using a pair of death penalty 12s 1200 watt pioneer amp a jvc head unit and a single 3100 xs power batt box is a prefab box with 2 6 inch aeros cut into the back lol
