Here's what I've heard so far for SQ:

Top five of International Sound Quality Challenge

1) Gary Biggs
2) Scott Buwalda
3) Nick Wingate
4) Steve Cornell
5) Jason Ewing

And from some of the regular classes, just a few firsts an seconds I've heard so far

pro street 1-600
natan budiano (1)
mic wallace/lori welsh (2)

pro street 601+
tony pasquale (1)

street x 1-600

So what did Scott compete with this year? I hear his 240 is torn apart but he competed Street which means installation doesn't get judged right? Well, beyond the usual safety stuff anyway.

Scott completed with a Nissan Altima. My understanding was that he used all DLS equipment in an A-pillar style installation. The Altima is his daily driver. Damn, now I'm sort of wishing I could have gone to see. There's a few things I now really wish I could see in person and try and get a listen to. Maybe some of those things will be at CES 2004................

Installation does get judged in street. To put it very generally, just to make sure that the vehicle is safe installation wise and safe to operate.

Paul........... you should see all the issues with Street Cars I've judged. Some of them you could spend days on ............ trying to fix anyways!!!! I actually think that install in Street is seriously important as there are a lot of ghetto-ly installed cars. But on the flip side, getting *ALL* the Street class install points is very easy if one reads the requirements (rule book) and takes the time to do it properly.

As for the Canucks, I haven't heard a thing about any of them. And we had some solid cars going. I wonder what happened

Lots of easterners did well - see my other post in the iasca road trip section - Marc Turner won, so did Bubba as I recall, and I'm 99% sure Canadian cars won both rookie classes as well.

It seemed every class had a canuck somewhere in the top 5 - Michael Brandt was 3rd or 4th in his class and so was Rina's new Ram.
