IDMAX vs ICON vs FI BL vs NIGHTSHADE

Just curious, Which one would you guys choose and why?

I think it depends on what your looking for.

SQ- Icon, IDmax (clear, but still loud)
SPL-Nightshade, FI (more louder than clear)

 

the BL is more sq, BTL is spl orientated..or am I missing something here?

 

Oops I missed the BL part. lol, I think your right, but I haven't heard a BL. I recall others saying so though...

 

the BL and BTL are both a peaky azzed woofer that model terribly on the graph
and are peaky in car as well

the IDMAX and the Icon are the SQ woofers out of the bunch....
the Icon digs the deep notes better than the IDMAX
personally I would take the Icon...they passed take the worse abuse
I have ever thrown at a SQ woofer

 

and the Fi Q doesn't fit the bill because?

I've installed two 10s and a single 12 and they sound a hell of a lot better then the IDMAX.

Can't and won't comment on the SSA until you send me one Trev

 

icon or idmax. they both will sound great and still get plenty loud

my vote is ID Max

it is a proven sub that is extremely efficient, loud, fairly affordable, and above all boasts great SQ.


its not going to be the absolute best at anything. but it is great at everything.

 

honestly I have never heard a Fi Q.... so I can't comment on it

the IDMAX is better than a BL or a BTL but it isn't in my top 5 list for SQ either
