If you can't rant here, than where??

It seems to me that every time a post gets hot on a topic, it gets closed by one moderator or another.
I realize that some consumers always feel like they are getting the shaft, by paying a few bucks(or hundreds) more for a given product, and it's sales people and shopkeepers alike that seemingly feel the need to justify a given issue, or at least straighten things out, so that a better "understanding" is made about capitalism, and free enterprise, A.K.A business.
Weren't forums like this designed for the general public, to get informed, or even pass information to everyone else?
I understand that once a thread gets "nasty" and words start flying, that hopefully discretion will be used, in the form of Instant Messages, or email, to save face, and maintain a sense of dignity, I don't see a need, or sense in closing a thread, because a topic gets too personal.

Well said!!
I soo agree with you on that!:
Of course you do. You were the one complaining about what retailer mark-up was. You have to realize that not every hard working retailer is willing to make $10 on a pair of speakers. And I dont think its fair to expect that. Fine they were $60 in the US plus shipping of $20 converted to Canadian funds $90 and then add duties 7% + brokerage approx $20 + Taxes so now we are at $133 aprox. if the retailer in the US does not try to make a criminal invoice adjustment. Which may get you and him in trouble if caught. Now you said you paid $200 for your other set. So you roughly save $67. Now if you need help from the US dealer in regards to support or warranty will he anwser his phone? And then they die and you pay for shipping $20 and then you get the replacements to your door and they die. See what I am saying. Service and warranty costs money. And you have no clue if they are stolen, used, demos, refurbs and so on. All the site Vendors were trying to explain was we are here for you and more so then a shop owner not on this site because as may people may know we are on here night and day sometimes and will anwser almost any question and help you if need be. Dude many have been burnt and many have not....but do you want to be the one thats burnt?

This forum is about car audio discussion, not personal attacks. Theres plenty of other forums out there that im sure will provide a forum for personal attacks and bashing, here is not one of those places.
Was it so difficult to read the mods written words on why the thread was closed?
There's a internet retailer vs local retailer thread every few weeks on here. They don't go anywhere and never will.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with you (pull a past thread up and you'll see where I stand easily enough) but do we really need another 5+ page thread on the same argument every few weeks?
And by the way, this site has gotten much better recently in allowing decent rants and arguments compared to the past owner's/mods.
