First of all unless its made in USA there is 7% duty. I import car audio from the US on a regular basis. Also You have to add the product price to the shipping and pay exchange on that. You also pay duty on the shipping believe it or not. To BUY US dollars its 13% and to sell is 10% so you will be charged 13%. And I would love to know what company ships unlimited amounts of product for $20us. And there is a brokerage fee for the shipper. If your not being charged this way its coming in illegally and not being declaired properly. If you want to risk it then go nuts. Unlike the end user I declair everything properly and pay my fee's as I have a hired broker. Im not trying to argue with you but I have been doing this for years now and know the implications for not declairing properly. I run a business and can not afford to be thrown in jail for customs fraud. I am just trying to make you aware of the legalities. BTW Soundstream does not warranty anything purchased online.

Well I did a bit of research for ya. MSRP on these in the US is $125. Now if its the SST6.9 speakers you are looking at. Authorized dealers in the US sell them for $109 and dealer is right around $89 us. I would have to say you are being either lied to or its refurb or seconds. Look I dont even sell Soundstream but I just dont want it see you get screwed. Good luck with it anyways if you do it. Cheers.

Guys.... THIS is exactly why I closed the other thread.

As Hardwrkr said, these arguments never go anywhere and I guarantee they will eventually turn in to flame fests.

So everyone give a big 'THANKS' to Mr. Twistedsickness for getting another one locked up.

If you got a good deal online then that's fantastic for you. No reason to debate the crap out of it with people who make a living by selling stuff in regular shops. By refusing to even say where you're getting it from you're just making yourself look like a troll.

Please refrain from turning another thread into an 'online vs retail' thread. I'm asking nicely this time...
