IM BLOWING SUBS!!!!!
#1
Hey this is my problem. I got a Kenwood KAC 7201 800 Watt Amp, and a Rockford HE2 sub. So the Rated power matches up perfectly. 400 watts rated a piece. And for some reason i keep popping a coil on my sub. Also i got future shop to wire it for 8 ohms. I wuz thinking maybe i should run one coil off each channel so that they get the exact same amount of power from the amp. But i have no f***ing clue. Also i cant afford to go to the city every week to get a new sub. The average sub lasts under a week now. Last one i had took 1 day. I NEED HELP

It's easier to clip the amp at 8 ohm than 2 ohm. You're likely underpowering the sub running it at 8 ohm. You may be having to set your gain too high and clipping the poop out of that sub.
I doubt your amp can handle 2 ohm though. Might want to either get a 2 ohm stable amp, or a single 4 ohm /dual 2 ohm sub.

This amp is basically the same as my amp (KAC-929) and, while rated at 460 RMS @ 4 ohms, mine only benched at a very disappointing ~410 ... So, if you're hooked up at 2 ohms, I can see why you're blowing that sub ... However, at 8 ohms, the sub should be getting a little less than 300 RMS, so you'd have to be clipping the **** out of it (What head unit do you have ? What is the input sensitivity set to ? What is bass boost set to ?) to be blowing that sub ...
Also, it could be the box ... What box is it in (Type ? Volume ? If ported, tuning frequency ?)

The solution is simple: when it starts to sound bad, turn it down!
If that means it is not loud enough then you need more power or a second woofer.
Oh and who was the genious who sold you a 4 ohm mono stable amp and a DVC 4ohm woofer The equipment combo looks like FS unfortunately
