Independent B+(12volt - Constant) for HU....& more!

My previous install had 10gauge B+ tapped off my 2gauge Amp power.

I want to run an independent B+ wire for my HU but keep it away from my 0/1 power wire!

Does the battery require an inline fuse for the HU?

I'm also going to run a larger ACC+ wire to the hu and larger GND aswell

I want to have access to the fuses for the HU and Ipod control box at my Glove box!

Does someone make a smal fuse distro block non AGU fuses!

Ju

go to your local electronics store for some inline fuse holders. Also depending what vehicle you drive you can grab these wires directly from the ignition hrness. If you're running amplifiers in the car though I see no gain whatsoever to run larger than stock wiring.

I found this - I'm tapping off the IGN wire for ACC, Direct for B+......

Ju is there a reason why you are doing this? seems like you are going all out SQ and trying to get some install and creativity points? I think this would be cool to do.

Otherwise all the fuses would be useless. I have done this in my car, minus all the fuses. Just from the battery straight into the HU harness.

Yuli - yes I'm trying to get creative points - also it is rather difficult to remove the trim panel if ever the fuses ever blow. In the FIT removing the mounting kit and unclipping the factory connections is a lengthly task - there are three cables that control the temp gauge, recycle/fresh air vent and vent selection. They are hell to re-connect and align. To me it s just piece of mind to have the fuse accessible.

My amp rack is another thing I have to work around is the fuses for the 3sixty's. I have to come up with a solution for them as well. The Audison amp(s) fuses are located on the top so no issues there.

thanks guys I'll more likely figure it out in my sleep....lol
