I have a infinity 1210a amp and Kicker DCVR12, the kicker manual says I should use a 25hz, 24 db per octave subsonic filter and on the infinity manual it says I can use the DBO as a subsonic filter by setting the hp freq to 10hz below tuning frequency of the enclosure. I dont really understand that part and I was wodering if anyone could help me.

hears a pic of the amp http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/pro...10A-l_dmt.jpeg

and a link to the subs http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/...cation.do#tabs

thx for the help.

Subsonic filter is just a high-pass filter. The reason it is set a bit lower than tuning frequency is because of the crossover roll-off. Setting it right at the tuning frequency would attenuate the good stuff and that's not what you want it to do.

Kicker is pretty good at designing enclsoure's for customers. Let them know what you're using as far as drivers and power and build what they recommend.
