Infinity Kappa, 2-Way or 3-Way?

I am torn between the 2-way "692.7i" and the 3-way "693.7i".

I have read that theoretically, the 3-ways will give you better high frequency performance, but has anyone actually compared them in real world conditions?

Thanks.

Not with those speakers, but I've compared a 5-way to just single speakers. I think with speakers that are '1-way' the highs tend to get wavy at high volume. With my 5-ways, it doesn't.

Though, I think 'multi-way' speakers leave holes of sound in areas of the car. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like that sometimes in my car.

save the extra money and get the 2 ways. I've had literally dozens of co-axial, tri-axial, quad-axial, and others in my cars or in friends cars over the last 24 years. The truth is; a good speaker is a good speaker regardless of it's make up (exception being typical 1 way with whizzer cones...I've never heard a good full range one way speaker). There are outstanding 2 ways that would destroy many 3 or 4 or 5 way speakers. Just listen to them, and decide which you like better. In the case of the Infinitys, I've owned both, and I think the 2 ways sound as good as the 3 ways, so I say get those and save a few bucks.

I agree with veeman. heard both on the 2 ways the differance is too small to be heard by most people. not worth the differance in price. Save your money buy the cheaper pair of infinitys
