infinity perfect 10.1

hey, i had been wanting to move up from my old system consisting of a 12" orion seald, 10" rckford p1 ported, i had my eyes set on getting 2 10" mtx mxs's however with the boxing day sale at futureshop i ended up with 2 infinity perfects 10.1. i havnt realy heard or found much info about them and i have them in a ported box as u can see <---- , but im not too crazy about what im hearing from them, i know my biggest problem is my amp, i have an old alpine 5 channel putting about 150rms to the two subs... and they require a lot of power to get gowing, but u dont realy feel them, they dont seem to give off much punch through the car just noise, i saw 1 person coment about this on a forum but i have a infinity 1211A amp, 1300watt rms in the mail so i have my fingers crossed... anyone had any experience with these
theres also a ratleing sort of noise that u can only notice when ur standing in front of them.

I am running two of these in a sealed box and i love them. They have amazing SQ, but don't quite pound as hard as I would like them to. I am powering them at 550w 2ohms RMS. The one thing I like about them over my friends dual MTX setup is that I don't get a headache when I am driving, but I still get plenty of pounding bass, he only gets slightly more, and most of his vehicle is dynamatted.

Put in a bigger amp, and these things will pound, they could probably hit 400w RMS no problem.

perhaps your car is rattling , if i could count all the socks i have shoved in body panels to shut up my rattles well id be able to count to 20 . maybe you just need to insulate your car better . or have you had subs in there before?

those are extremely underpowered , once you get an amp they will pound .

ya iv bought a bunch of cocking and expanding foam but i cant use that till it gets a little warmer, god its been so damn cold here the last coupple days...
theres also a fair bit of room in the trunk considering the size of the box, heavy too just about killed myself getting it in lol.

I wanted to go with a ported box, but it took up way too much room in my CR-V.

Also bought some at boxing day I must say i am loving it got a vented box for it 1 farad monster capacitor, 4 gauge phoenix gold wiring kit. But what made the big diffrence is my amp...my precious baby, the Alpine MRD-M1001 (1000 W RMS) feeding plenty to the subs. I read on a review that these sub sound good but they are power hungry and are build like a tank to take the power to. The recommended 350RMS like some will say is not enough, wait till you get that amp shipped you will fall in love whit these subs, just like i did, let know how it went!
