no the bass boost or the loud button will just increase your distortion levels

Hmmm so is it pointless to run the bass **** from the amp? If I did use it, I would adjust the gain accordingly with it on (+6 / 45hz) or whatever. The P325.1 has a range of 0-18db!!!

oh on the amp im sorry i though you meant on the head unit im not sure about the one on the amp one of the others guys should know

Run tha cable and play with the boost. It's up to you how you like the sound. I don't know what you listen to and what gear you own or how much bass you like compared to the music. I know that the stuff I listen to varies wildly with the amount of bass in the song so some way of easily adjusting it is nice to have.
