And im looking into replacing 5 3/4 and my 5'7 alpine type S speakers. Im looking into getting component speakers i dont mind getting the speakers custom fitted. I'm looking for clarity of sound not so much how load they go. I really like the way my buddies type R sound should i go that rout? what would anyone suggest i look into? brands?

if your wondering about budget i'm pretty flexible but im getting 600 to 800 would be my max depending.

 

Try to find a shop that carries DLS, they are, in my opinion, the best souding speakers, per dollar, out there. I run DLS speakers in my competition sound quality system.

 

Were do you live? roughly how much do there mid range line cost? just say for like 6' and 6'9 conponant?
