TinTin, if you can, try to keep all your questions in 1 thread, we'll answer them all just the same.

With the 660's you'd see a good improvement in sound, but there's always alot of other factors that come into play as well.

I have the 608's and i love them...tons of midbass, clear midrange, and I really like the titanium domes with the rubber surround...no harshness. They are 700.00 retail components ...if you can find them locally. The 500.00 price for the 660's is unheard of...those are 2000.00 retail comps and the cheapest I've seen them online (without factory warranty) is 900.00 us. Either of them is a steal as far as I'm concerned!

i know ...they both are a steal
i can either purchase the 608s now

or if i want the 660s...i'd probably have to wait a few months just to get that extra cash

and on top of that ....i'd need to get the amp regardless of which speakers and wiring and so on.

its a hard choice for me to make rite now

Make sure you can even install 660's properly. Look at the components and see if they will meet your criteria shape/size/etc wise, especially tweeters and crossovers. And see if you will have proper clean power for them.

Both sets are excellent! 660s are world class, and the 608s are very good, in fact if you like it loud and clean.....hard to beat the 608s. I had a set of 608s in my last car in 2006, and I really liked them. They're one of the best sets of components for loud, concert style listening...very JBL'ish in it's signature. They have great mid bass, can be crossed at 50hz and not distort, and the tweeters are bright without the edge of typical titaniums. Anyway, at those prices, if you can get a few sets, you should be able to move them easily at a profit!!!
