I have a e10A.22 and am looking for an amp to run it at either 1 or 4 ohms. I noticed that JL rates their amps between 1.5 and 4 ohms. Does that mean they can't be run at 1 ohm?

Thanks

I have heard of people running them at 1 ohm. Some were fine, others heated up and went into protection mode.

I have never heard of anybody on the forums running a JL amp at 1 ohm with great success...nice amps though, I love mine.

What kind of power does the 500/1 put out at 4 ohms?

JLs don't work at 1 ohm. I tried with mine and it rolls off the power to like <250 watts. Doesn't shut off though, but it gets extremely hot.

600w @ 4 ohm? Looks like a good match for that 10A to me.
