Looks like it should be pretty sturdy, but it's just a port that's set up differently from what I can see. I have not heard one so I can't comment on the SQ or output. If someone has a shop that sells them, it would be a good experiment to build a regular ported box to spec and compare the two.

I take my comment back...... noice...... but why wouldn't they round it out at the end of the port so that you wouldn't get any cancellation from port air hitting the sub?

it is concidered a h.o box because it is a 6th order bp box.it will be more efficient then a ported box of the same size and should have a flatter responce curve.sq is most likey similar to a ported box if not better.

It just has a port design that let JL patent something...
