Jl and infinity set up

im new here so I drive a 03 mustang without the mach system some come with. i had my stock speakers powered by a pioneer deck with 2 12' rockford punch type HE in an angled box. powered by a Visonik 800W amplifier..so i was probably gettin around 400 rms on it. one sub ..the speaker wire burnt off from the terminal and the other is completley frozen..so i decided for a whole new system. The system i want to push now wouldnt mind doin 600rms for my subs. and as far as my inside speakers go i have it listed...

Front speakers - Infinity Reference 6810cs (component set)
specs:http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wZKtrjeuTZM/cgi-bin/Prodview.asp?readmore=true&g=52200&I=1086810CS#Tab

way external crossover network (18 dB/octave, 3,500 Hz high-pass and low-pass)
power range: 2-90 watts RMS (270 watts peak power)
frequency response: 49-21,000 Hz
sensitivity: 92 dB
top-mount depth: 2-7/16"

Rear speakers - Infinity Reference 6812cf (coaxials) -
Specs: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Q2Ejcpzj5b3/cgi-bin/Prodview.asp?readmore=true&g=52200&I=1086812CF#Tab

2-way 6"x8" speakers (pair)
Plus One+ poly woofer cone with rubber surround
rotating UniPivot silk dome tweeter
power range: 2-60 watts RMS (180 watts peak power)
frequency response: 49-21,000 Hz
sensitivity: 92 dB
top-mount depth: 2-7/16"

Amplifier - Infinity Reference 7541a -
specs: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wZKtrjeuTZM/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&I=108R7541A
4-channel car amplifier
111 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (139 watts x 4 at 2 ohms)
278 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
front and rear variable high-/low-pass filters (32-320 Hz, 12 dB/octave)
variable bass boost (0-12 dB at 50 Hz)
MOSFET power supplies
CEA-2006 compliant
Tri-way capable (Tri-Way Crossover required)
preamp- and speaker-level inputs
preamp outputs
8-gauge power and ground leads with a 60A fuse recommended — wiring and hardware not included with amplifier
fuse rating: 30A x 2
16-3/8"W x 2-11/16"H x 12-1/8"D
(will i need that tri-way x-over if im just using the amp to power 4 of my speakers?)

Note: i didnt buy these from crutchfield..i plan on ebayin my whole system. so will i need to get anything else?

as for my subs im lookin at 2 12' Jl W3v3 with a 500/1 amp in a ported box.
here are the jl specs for the subs
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=25

and for the amp http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=252

The deck i have right now is pretty cheap pioneer one. got it for 40 bux. i plan on gettin a duel in-dash pretty soon as well.
see specs http://www.crutchfield.com/S-zN2dXJFGrCd/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=168550&I=070VD8181

The reason i chose this system becuase i wanted a nice brand thats not too pricy..i hear people do put componets in the front with coaxials in the back so i decided to do it with infinity..not tryin to enter comp. usin boston or mb quarts.

my questions:

- Will an eq be good way to go to perfect my sound levels? what brand should i look at

- Do u recommend this system on puttin nice clean hard hittin bass with loud highs?

- my 2 rockford pucnhes type HE hit pretty nice in an enclosed box. so thinkin about 200 more whats rms...will it be worth it?

- will i need a capacitor? thinkin about im probably pullin around 900W rms from the battery? i heard for every 1000 u need a cap.

- will the Jl specs be able to fit in a ported box for 12' and beable to fit inside the tiny trunk of a coupe mustang. the angle box i have now barley fits..theres about 1/2 inch
between the box and the speaker.

-what do u guys recommend?

1) An EQ (i notice atleast) makes things a tad louder, and gives you easy controls over levels. I recommend the Clarion indash EQ.

2) Don't know what your asking.

3) You probably wont notice much of a difference if any.

4) Refer to my thread in Technical (i think) about caps. They do about as much as an umbrella in a hurricane.

5) Measure your trunk and figure it out.

How does an eq make things louder? I suppose you could boost every band...they are more for smoothing dips and peaks though.

I'd get a HU that has a built in eq, maybe SQCivic's 9855  Does it do everything my 9835 does?

that is a nice deck..but if im buyin a new deck im lookin for in-dash flip screen dvd. anyways..im not sure it makes things louder..but i know it perfects the levels of the subs and speakers. the Jl's seem kinda expensive tho...anyone know cheaper ones that can do the same thing as a w3? are diamond subs a good brand?
