those jl setups are beasts, both the pro wedge and the ho ported stuff
high msrps but the build quality is such that most used rigs for sale are in very good condition

i find it interesting that the majority of people against them seem to have never head them

they used to make a ho dual 15" in something like a 8ft cubed, crazy loud

sorry it isn't a beast... crazy loud is crazy loud on a meter and they aren't good for that, but they are loud and they tend to sound between quite good and excellent (certainly better than any other prefab box!)
They are a high fit and finish cabinet designed IAW JL specs to not blow up their subs.
I dont recall anyone saying they haven't heard one, you cant go into a car audio shop and NOT hear one... and that is my rub with them there is no individuality to them... and they ain't cheep. Again I am not dissing the product just not bowing down to it

As well, I am sure the enclosure is of excellent build and, for an 8, it performs stellar. I am also sure the the OP will not be satisfied with any single 8, regardless of performance.
