Just purchaced some new amps...

Well i bought two Audiopipe ap15001D amplifiers for my two 3002d2 subs. I've heard nothing but good reviews from the amp, as well as that it does rated power. They will be wired one amp per sub at 1ohm, which means each sub will get 1500wrms.

Anyways, does this sound like a pretty good match?

Are those subs made by Pioneer? If im thinking of the right subs it might be a little much for them depending on box size. As well, what is your electrical like?

Yes, the subs are 12" pioneers, with a 1000/3500w ratting. I was told they need upwards of 1500w to get their full potential. Also, i have two sets of 2AWG wire, a set per amp, as well as a 125amp alt. (will upgrade soon) and a single, rather large 1100CA/950CCA battery.

Should be fine, i would suggest beefing up the electrical a bit with some 0 guage and the big-three and maybe the addition of a second battery. Running those amps at 1ohm is fine, but will require some serious power to keep them from going into protect - especially since you plan on running two.

Those subs dont "need" anything to play. I have a pair and they worked fine on a 200w 2ch amp. Now ive got about 1300 into them and they're just barely ready to sing lol. They can definitely take some abuse, thats for damn sure.

I think the 1500s are rated at 1ohm but the 3000 is literally two 1500s strapped internally and only stable to 2

Thanks for the reply/suggestions. Also, yes the Audiopipe ap15001d is rated at 1 ohm. It outputs 950wrms at 2ohm.
