Just a small question

I was just wondering if i could replace my speakers in my 2000 Chyrsler Neon I want to add a system later on but loq on cash right now, could i just change the 6 by 9's in the back and 7" in the front doors to some JL speakers or something or would the factory deck not handle the watts

I did it in my old truck (2000 Silverado), and they worked fine, but what you will notice is that it doesn't seem to be as loud, when u crank your stock system it gets noisy, so in turn sounds loud, but with the JLs being so clean, it won't seem as loud and you'll hit the max output on the deck... the volume will just stop going up and its decently loud, but when you go to a deck it will all come back and be nice and loud. So yes you can replace your stocks and run off the stock deck, but it won't be at its potential. (as stated my experiece is from my silverado, but the neon should act the same)
