kaption 6/9 stupid design
this kaption 6/9 cost me a lot of money because the wires in it wood touch
when i play my music hard i troth that it was my amp send to repair
at oxford sound in Scarborough they send it to s&s electronic on Ellesmere rd cast $150 after 1 mount got it back same problem took it back after another mount they said noting was wrong with the amp i did believe them
so i both another amp $200 same problem so i decide to check the speakers
they all look good check the wires all good no cut noting so i tried the front
work no problem tried the back the amp trap so took out the 6/9 tried one at a time the amp trip again i don't know how i notice that was a spark in the speaker it was the lead that is in the speaker was touching
but worst ting noting was wrong with the amp and i paid 150
i no this because i open the amp to see if work was done the glue on the heat sink was never remove and the only way to get to the amp you have to remove it rip off what can i do
150 + 200=350

You should really slow down when you are typing and work on accuracy.
In regards to the amp you had "repaired", bring it to Chris @ S&S and ask him what's up. Make note that you had to break the seal yourself. Perhaps they resealed it?
In regards to you purchasing another amp @ $200 just to test it out, well, that's your fault. There are much better ways to test your setup than that. I doubt that this is a design flaw as more of a manufacturer defect. You should be able to return them to the dealer you purchased them from or directly to the manufacturer.

yes slow do w n w h e n y o u t y p e! less errors...
correct me if im wrong but i did read that you took the amp to oxford sound on Kennedy rd right?? if so they are the ones that gave you a bill for $150 not S&S. Chris at S&S does free estimates. so if there was nothing wrong with the amp after a bench test there is no need to open it and repair anything. there for no charge! as far as i can tell oxford are the ones that need a stern (not yelling) talking to about charging for a repair that did not happen.
keep in mind that S&S could have sealed the unit again but this is not likely. a quick phone call to Chris about his opening an amp practices would clear that up in a hurry..
P.S: if Chris says there is nothing wrong, then likely he is right (we are human and people do make mistakes), i would trust him. he has a very good rep..
buying an amp was not the way to go. Oxford Sound could have and would have connected your amp up and tested it right in front of you in the store, if you had only asked.. both the father and son have let me take speakers, subs, and amps to hook up outside of their store with no problems. they didn't even once look over my shoulder. they are good people there.. could be they charged you for their time and effort. you need only ask what the charge was for.
good luck

p.s as Slaughter stated take the speakers to the dealer who sold them if they still have warranty and exchange them or have them send the speakers to the manufacturer for repair/exchange. keep in mind that warrant is only good from a manufacture point of view if they were purchased at an authorized dealer...

The simple solution is to turn the volume down...
