Lee at Radioactive is a good guy...I bought some stuff from him about 8 years ago and I still use the stuff today. Definately somebody I would recommend doing buisness with.
He came from HiFi Plus which is on rymal road, and they've always been good to me but I've heard some bad stuff about them from friends etc...
East Hamilton Radio isn't bad they're just not the cheapest. Sometimes you can get good deals but I've always preferred going to the smaller shops where its a little more personal.
If you install your own stereo(s) then you should check out Steel City Surplus on Dundurn street. They have great prices on things like wiring, fuses, carpet, boxes etc.... They have ****ty car audio products but really good prices on the small stuff

To get a good price from Radioactive, you need to find out when their sales are. That's the only time I ever get good deals there. Unfortunately, they only advertise the sales to people who have already bought from them.
Anyways, the point is, EHR has more selection, but Radioactive has better prices (though still now great). Additionally, I would trust EHR over Radioactive for installs....

You'd trust EHR over Radioactive for installs? I'm not sure I understand the basis for that comment. All the installers at Radioactive are Ontario Ministry certified, they aren't at EHR. EHR has so many installers you can't even guess who might be working on your car, That's not a concern at Radioactive. Radioactive has an excellent reputation for building show and SPL vehicles, many of which have been featured in Performance Auto & Sound, Sport Compact National and Quebec Tuning, I haven't seen anything high-end from EHR since Keith left.
As for getting good pricing from Radioactive, just tell Lee I sent ya, he always takes care of people I send. That being said, he's in this to make a living and pay for his house, support his wife and raise his two kids, so he's not going to give stuff away for free. He HAS to make some money, no matter who it is. I have sent him dozens of customers and thousands and thousands of dollars in business, and I don't ask for stuff at cost, I expect him to make a few dollars, no matter what.
Lastly, and this is the most important part, I trust the guys at Radioactive. You all know I take great pride in my WRX, and I wouldn't leave it in the hands of just anyone. There are only three shops I trust to work on it. Burlington Radioactive, Budget Exhaust and Automotive and Craigs Auto Restoration. I do anything else myself.

WOW...well said dave, but i just HAVE to get in on this one.
I used to work at radioactive, and i have friends that at some point fairly recently worked at ehr. Im not out to get myself in ****, or to slander ANYONE on the internet, but i have heard/seen storys from ehr, and honestly, they scare me. This particular installer left ehr because he didnt agree with their install ethics.
I would recommend radioactive to anyone, and feel good about it.
