Hi all, I am new to this forum and have a question I hope someone can answer.

I just had the OEM radio in my Subaru Forester replaced with a Kenwood DDX6706. When I put the car in reverse, the back up camera works fine (OEM backup cam).

However, if I turn the radio off, the backup cam will not work when the car is in reverse.

This doesn't seem correct to me, every car I've ever owned or rented (including my original OEM radio) would activate the backup cam when the car was put in reverse without regard to if the radio was on or off.

Thoughts?
