Kenwood excelon x890 Vs. Alpine 9857

I'm looking to upgrade my existing system with something that can interface with my iPod/USB devices. I've been looking at these two. Any opinions on either of these or any recomendations on something else?

Consider the killer Eclipse CD4000 model or models up. All have a Ipod interface available, Sirius satellite tuner available right now, Aux input and tonal response that will make both of the models you listed gasping for air.

Hmmmm, where would I find an Eclipse? Is the price comparable? I'm in the Oakville area.

You can find Eclipse at an authorized dealer like myself. Here is a link to the site. www.eclipse-web.com. What price range are you looking in for your new cd player?

Doesn't look like there's many near me. FutureShop has some of the low end models. The Kenwood and Alpine I was looking at were in the 3 to 4 hundred dollar range. If the Eclise is that much better quality wise, I would go higher to a max of 600.00 or so. It would be good to have a general idea of what the different models go for....

The Eclipse Ipod interface is available, I just sold my last one yesterday and am oversold by 2 right now, I have them coming in the next couple of days hopefully. This interface will control the Ipod as well as charge it. So leave the Ipod in the glovebox and use the cd player to control it.

Your welcome, I just sold another Ipod interface as well, I am air shipping 2 in that should be here by tomorrow, this will leave me with one extra if you would like to go with it (otherwise it is gone to a customer waiting for one at the airforce base here).
