It is a standard feature on the Compustar Pro only provided that it is the FM version. If you would like pricing on these units, please send me a PM.

I would definitely come to you if you were in Toronto area. But if the installer doesn't make money on the alarm itself they usually charge more for the install plus the shipping and all that. I learned that the hard way a couple years back with my previous car. I visited a few shops and was quoted ridiculous amounts of money and time required to do it. Couple of the shops just simply refused to touch the electrical in an Audi Went to 12volt close to Steeles and Weston and they did it in 1.5 hours and price was very reasonable compared to the rest but still it's a hassle.

A shop, a respectable shop will break it down in parts / labour and hard items. It will cost no more to install a hard item that you bring in as compared to one that they provide you. If you are dealing with shops like this, perhaps it is time to go somewhere else for their services. Now they just did not lose the sale on the equipment, but also on the labour, your future business and your referral business.

Get the thing broken down in writing, then inform them of exactly what I mentioned above. For the last 11 years, I have never ever charged more to install something just because it is bought somewhere else. That is just wrong and totally unethical and is a great way to get a shops name dragged around in the dirt.

I agree with you but that's not how most people work in this city.
