krystal klarer klang
I remember that German description from a Maxell metal cassette tape from back in the day..."crystal clear sound". We have the bass thread...lets get some tunes with sparkling highs, clear mids, and good, clean, not excessive bass. Can be any genre...opera to metal. I like; Madonna-immaculate collection, Sade-Greatest hits, Fleetwood Mac-greatest hits, Steve Winwood-back in the high life...is it obvious that I'm a little older?...Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli, Quincy Jones-The secret garden, George Benson-Twice the love, Dave Grusin-Dancin in the township, Carl Anderson-How deep does it go, Clair Marlo-Let it Go...to name a few. It's just got to be really clean, doesn't have to be "SQ" in terms of imaging, and staging, though it can be...just crystal clear!

Holly Cole Trio - Don't Smoke in Bed
Amazing recording. Soaring vocals. Standup bass.
Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth
Audiophile sound without the audiophile dullness. An eclectic mix of songs.
Radiohead - In Rainbows
They just keep getting better.

Holly Cole rules..saw, met, and listened to her live at a small (relatively) party in Roy Thompson Hall. Excellent voice..she actually sounds as good in person...very rare these days, and, she's a good looking woman with a great personality.
