laser lens cleaner for HU?

k well i live out on a farm by a busy grid road so its no suprise... my car gets extremely dusty inside and out! .... now somehow inside my HU has acumulated a fair amount of dust, and well its a year or two old so it needs a cleaning.

my question is how should i clean it up, without taking the HU out preferably... i have a CD laser lens cleaner disc that has like super soft brushes on the disc, and u put the disc in and it spins and is suppose to clean the lens... will i do any harm to my HU using it?

thanks

I've been using a laser lense cleaner in mine... Does the job just fine.

There must be some way to REALLY clean it though. Because I know that disc doesn't get all of the dirt/dust that has been accumulating in there for like 7 or 8 years...

Getting a new deck next week finally... Mine skips when I hit big(ish) bumps or when I turn it up to a certain level and the bass from the sub skips it.

Plus it's old and out-dated.

Frickin' dust is such a pain in the ***... It gets EVERYWHERE! It sucks.

But yeah, I'd say go ahead with the laser lense cleaner... Try using it a couple times to really clean it. (Go through the process twice)
