The Audio Control Overdrive has 13.5 volt as well as a few other features. The Overdrive takes your unbalanced signal and converts it to a balanced signal inside the unit. this practically ensures you do not have noise/have the cleanest signal possible. Almost all of the Audio Control processors have a line driver built in so if you could appreciate an eq check them out. If you need to find a dealer, let me know and I will set you up with someone you can see and try one.

 

Mark ***uda back in the used a Rockford Punch 40 as a line driver. He used it because it was the only way to power 16 rca preouts. Maybe email him or give it a try. Or measure a small PG amp and measure the AC voltage on the amp while playing it... [img]graemlins/bow.gif[/img]

Ther overdrive does not put out a balanced signal. It is only balanced inside then reconverts to unbalanced on the output so it can be used with normal everyday amplifiers. The positive and negative signal are compared while balanced and any common signal , (being radiated noise) is eliminated. There are also a choice of three different grounding configurations that will eliminate ground loops. after that, it is a matter of proper gain structure and you will have very clean sound with awesome signal to noise and dynamics.

right now my tld22(pg line driver), gives me clean up to 10 volts. peak of 14 volt. i will research all your suggestions and see what it is we will go with. should we choose to change. thanks everyone
