I like having a USB input to play my songs from, love the H701 but I don't like my doors ratteling despite my efforts to make them rattle free.

And I need to get me a sub.

JVC kdavx-33 (usb,bluetooth,divx,3inch monitor)
alpine H701 and C701
2 sony xm-4s powering the front stage
pioneer PRS 5 1\4 components
Peerless SLS8

controlling it from the screen is a breeze, no complaints there.

using RCA's or AiNet just has a sound to it I don't like, I use optical for CD/DVD so not a big issue, but just knowing it makes noise bothers me.
Al is the noise something like what I'm experiencing or is it internally?

I think it's just inherent in the 701, werewolf posted about the "noise floor"
maybe noise isn't the right word, but there's a huge difference between the rca and optical.

Am I mistaken but weren't you using optical in the past?

I get very little noise (hissing) with the ai net...I'd have to be in the garage at night with the volume at 1 to hear it.

Just the fact that it's there, whether you hear it or not is enough to make me wonder what else it's adding/taking away from the music.....just me I guess.
