I'm in Canada as well(near toronto) I got my sub in may and it was sent via U.S. post because it's cheaper. I did have to order it online, but the customer service is very good. As for the sundown I know the dealer here in ontario so PM me and I will give you his info, he can probably help you with the FI stuff to.

but I'm also thinking of getting one 15" over 2 x 12"'s anyone think it's a good idea? would I get as much if not more from one 15" sub as I would with 2 12's ?
thanks

you can have one 15 outperform 2 12" it all depends on the amp you have the box the sub is in and the quality of the sub. If everything is equal the twelves may be louder. One of my co-workers has 2 12" MTX superwoofers on a 1000 rms kicker amp. His subs are in sealed pod boxes. I have the one 12" loaded FI SSD 600 watts rms and I'm louder. My box is ported and I tuned it to be loud with that sub. It really depends on the 15" and the 12" that your comparing

I agree 100%. Also, 15" may have higher xmax, so surface area is not the only thing to consider. Higher xmax will also play a big role in output. If I had a certain budget, I would actually choose a single higher end 15", then two of the lower line 12's. For example at almost equal cost, a single 15" RD Audio Alpha v2 owns over two RD Sonance 12's, if you have Sundown 1500D. Port that 15" and peal off the road paint at the intersection lol Not to mention you'll be sporting a higher end sub, which commands more respect, than two bottom-feeders

Well, I just looked at the guts of that RD amp, and it looks identical to Sundown. Looks to me RD is using Sundown design, and putting it in a different casing with possibly different heatsink, and rebadging it of course, other than that - same amp with same pricing.
