Looking for new deck

'm looking into getting a new deck for my Firebird. I've always been a Sony fan, but everyone I talked to said Sony sucks. What are some decks that you like or could recommend.

This is what I have right now
Deck-Sony CDX-GT400.
Amp-Sony Mono. Speakers-
Alpine Type s 6x9's in the back, stock in the front.
Sub- 2 10" MTX 5500

pm toddyboy, he's running some xplod,, give him a shout if you love sony.

But do a bit more research, don't let people decided what you would like to try, just start reading find something that interests you and then come ask.

If you never try anything different, how do you know if there is better? After 20 years of selling pretty much anything, I have my most favorites and my least favorites, sadly Sony is one of the latter. That said though, if it works for you, it works for you.

Run far far away from Sony Xplod. You couldn't pay me enough to put that junk in any of my vehicles.

Pioneer (Preferably premier), Eclipse, Nakamichi.

Not a huge fan of alpines - not the low to mid range ones anyways.

Find a deck with the features and the look you like. Don't let anyone tell you what to use. I've never used a sony and probably won't, but I've tried almost everything else (Pioneer, Alpine, JVC, Panasonic, Clarion). Every brand has it's ups and downs, all depends on what you're looking for.
