Planning to replace whole system, Any Ideas ?

Im planning on replacing my whole system, which is two kicker L7 12" and Hifonics BXI2008D amp.

Im looking for something with a punch and a good thump lol.

Which subs would be most reliable and which amp to use to get efficient power and will not drain the sh** out of my alternator.

And is the Soundstream XXX-4000D a reliable efficient amp ?
These are the amps i have in mind, no thoughts on the subs yet

Orion HCCA25001
JBL GTO24001
Cadence ZRS-7500D

Let me know what you think.

Im looking to spend around 1500$ on amp and subs.

Were you looking to downsize on the box still? Give Basstoy a PM and see if you can line up with him to have a listen to his system.

I cannot goto Montreal to listen to someones system.

Imtrying to say that when i sit in my freaking friends focus with 350 rms alpine amp and 10" type r sub with a future shop box, he has that thump on low volumes and high which i dont or cant seem to get out of my kickers.

So my question is, is it the subs ? the amp ? the box ?

If anything new is required so i can get what im trying to portray let me know .

Thanks

Any opinion on Image Dynamics ID-Max subs ? Will i notice a power difference with the current amp i have or what if i go with a Hifonics BXI2608D amplifier ?

ID MAX is an amazing sub. I'm running one 10" right now. I have heard multiple set ups with these subs, they all sound unbelievable. they are very efficient subs, so they will make the most out of the power you have. but they really shine if you give them the full 1000rms they are rated for.

they are BY FAR a better sounding sub than the l7's. the kickers make a lot of noise, but the ID MAX sounds good doing it. and you won't have to go over your 500 mark to buy one I don't think.

No, I only have my two L7's on the Hifonics amp at 1 ohm, 0 gauge wiring.
