i see that from the rest of your equipment that you are leaning towards sq, if you get a chance listen to the gti from jbl, and the higher end suds in the hertz line are VERY musical, and less money than the jl, but i still have to say that the most impressed i have ever been was from listening to the jbl gti 12 inch in a ported box built to their specs, unbelievable.

Which JBL , the new ones ? like this ?

http://jbl.com/car/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=W10GTI%20MKII&Language=EN G&Country=US&Region=USA&cat=SUB&ser=GTI

It says 3000w peak ? wtf ? why is there such a difference between 600w rms and 3000 watts ?

SQ based... short list Morel (big bucks but so worth it) and the Eclipse aluminum cone series as well.

I would see what the sound quality is like with a TFone. Talk to Father Yuli on this site.

Go 10" sealed with a JBL W10GTI MKII. I have a guy locally that have one in is Hyundai Accent GS and was really a big surprise when he opened the trunk to find only this little sub. Also he only need 600w for this sub, this can be a good thing when the electrical of the car is not too beefy (don't know about stock CRX)
