I'm considering 2 of the big Visonik DVC 2ohm 15's to put on my 900XD in my 12 cube box.
http://www.visonikcaraudio.com/sub/p...ubwoofers.html

Unfortunaly my goal is SQL and .55ohm is a little low for that amp IMO... They also seem to be only for SPL... Linear excursion of 35mm P-P is pretty sucky if you ask me...

Anyone know if excursion is limited by the suspension (next model down has the same Xmax?) or are they capable of much more Xsus ??

LOL - buuuuuuuuurn.. yeah yeah, j/k. keep the hate mail

There is a retailer in Victoria that pushes MA. They have a small following of SPL cars that does alright.

Personally - not for me.
</font>[/QUOTE]Where is this retailer? I wouldn't mind checking out the products in person.
Thanx

Having purchased one of the HK-204SX amps from XSCargo in Mississauga last week, I'll toss in my 2cents worth. The amp is rated at 4 X 75rms at 4ohms, and the spec sheet says it is stable down to .5ohm per channel. I have my doubts about the 1200rms rating on the case but I can tell you one thing....right now it is running a pair of RF 6.5" coaxials on the front channels and 3 JL 10W08s in a sealed box in my wifes minivan. The rear 2 channels are bridged into the 2.66ohm load and I am very impressed with how much sound we are getting out of the system. Even the Mrs. is happy, and for those of us who are married, you know how hard that can be to accomplish...

Overall, the amp is doing a great job running this setup, and there was nothing else I could find for $250 that would handle that low a load on the rear channels.

Last year, when XSCargo got their end-of-season load from MA, they had a better selection of subs and component sets than they do this year. 2 of my friends bought the subs, 1 guy put 2 DVC 12's in a ported box and has been using that in a full size cargo van ever since. They hit pretty hard off the rear channels of an RF 801X amp (around 225watts RMS each) and he is happy with his $55 subs... The other guy blew the 4 10's in his home speakers, and he used 4 of the MA DVC 10s to replace them....again...quite happy with the results from $40 drivers...

MA Audio may not be the state of the art as far as car audio goes, but my experiences with their products have gone well. I would recommend it to anyone needing new equipment at a reasonable price. It is definitely a large step up from entry level in my opinion, and I would love to see it get an impartial test from "Mr. Dave", wherever he may be hiding these days....
