Mark up in prices.

Alright im just going to complain now. This is BS
Anyways last night i was calling around in the states asking about prices about Soundstream. No big as everyone knows i want to put sheit load of speakers in my car and right now Soundstream has the right to say they have the best coxale 6x9 (this info is coming from autosalon) anywayss ... there Tarantula speaker retail at $299 I know i paid about 200 for mine already. i think there worth it anyways back to my point i was trying to make. It took about 15 mins to get a price from them and there asking 60 bucks US for them THATS BS thats double the mark up i paid and blah Ill hate to see what it cost for retails to buy them for.

Realize this fact. You are nobody to the dealer on the other end of the phone. They can tell you whatever price they want to and then if you show up will tell you something entirely different. The question is, do you beleive what you are told as a customer by a dealer who could care less about you? While your close proximity to the border makes it worth just popping over into the states to pick something up, for the vast majority of others that value Canadian business and warranty will shop in Canada. As a Canadian dealer myself and having talked with you, please consider this. Why should I be helping you when you are taking your business to the US? Is it because I am a nice guy? Is there any value placed upon a Canadian dealer who does help the customer? You have some decisions to make. The first is to realize that you beleive what you hear. If I was a sleazeball dealer, I would quote you stupid low on a product that I did not have in stock as well, this way it gets you in the door for the ol bait and switch. Of course I would not do this, but it happens all the time, especially in the larger US market.

Warranty also covers the speaker for parts and labour only, not shipping charges which are paid by you both ways. So double the $20US.
