you can wire down to 1ohm on those quad coils. and an amp to power them would be anything at 1ohm from 1500 to 1700watts rms. they handle 3000watts rms only for burps not music.

where did you get your subs????? can you ash where you bought them if they have 2 recones for CW-12 PLZ lol i really dont want to get rid of these

Sound Solutions (Ken) is 3 hours away from me in Victoria (Colwood) BC. I can dig up their number if you like.

massivemusic, drop me a line if you like, 1-888-881-9911 or msn me to forbidden@telus.net

You should be looking for an amplifier that makes maximum output at 1 ohm, ideally a class D mono amplifier. Your budget will determine the Quality or Kwality of the amp to look at.

pulled out the sub and one sub is fine. the other sub has 4 ohm coil and the other coil is 8. when i go close to the coil with the MM is says 4ohm. what im guessing is that the tensil lead is screwed.

NOW can i fix this??? the sub is fine.. its just the tensil lead that is screwed up... can i saulder a wire to it?? lol

yes you can but to do a good job you will need to remove the dustcap so you can solder the new lead to the vc

lol there is no dust cap. its all one cone. and i dont plan on taking anything apart. the only thing that appart right now is the cone, coil and spider. ( it removes with screws )

i can have easy access to the tensil lead as close to the coil as possible but thats it.... could i fix it at the last 1mm from the VC ????
