Ok so heres the deal the RF 1000bd ended being a pos, nicly beat up and was cutting out haha wtf?
Anyhow so now i got this

Kicker KX600 (refurb) $310
or
MTX 501D (used but mint) $200

Whats a better buy, seems like both put out the same rms @2ohm. Guess will be running 2 comp vr's or sumthin similar. lmk

 

Ya...i had a bd1000... used to make a whining noise too.. aweful amp.

however, you should look into the rf 1050s....

I always loved the kickers amps..go for it.

 

Good price on that Kicker, they seem to put out a fair bit of power.

 

yeah go for the kicker especially for the price. maybe you should compare the specs other than just the power to see what is best for you.

To replace the bd1000 and on a budget I would look for a used Memphis 1000D (as they're everywhere and can be found for ~$350 mint) or maybe a Crossfire 1000D (even cheaper).
