I agree with heavymetaljetta, I remember taking my ride to a high end shop years ago to get some speaker wires run into my front doors. The job was...ah how can I say this... crap!I realized that unless you are willing to spend serious bucks, these guys really don't care, add the attitude on top of it all and you get crap service for regular(non-competition) type systems. I usually tell these guys that the bread and butter is the homely chick that just wants a deck and two. I don't think they get it, I guess that's why most of em go out of business in a couple of years. Anyway, that's why I like doin my own install, if it burns I know who to blame...me. LATER....

I have seen it myself! A couple of years back My brother and cousin were putin a system in a mid 80's chevette. The dumb asses sat it the car for 8 hours straight(with it running) trying to figure out how to install their HU And tuning everything. Later that night the car started on fire. The fire chief said becuase they had the car running so long the exaust burnt through the floorboards of the car.


I will say I have never laughed as hard as I did that night! I damn near wet myself laughing at them.
