anyone here familiar with the this adapter at all?
i want my chimes to work but with no connection to my hu. im sure it can be done. what im not sure about is why this unit needs a connection to the hu's amp trigger wire. wondering if this is needed to turn the oem amp on!
when i did have it connected to my hu if i say pressed for my doors to lock, it would chime to let you know you have pressed the lock button. this is with the hu unit off so im assuming i wont need the trigger wire at all. this would only be used to turn the oem amp on when the hu is connected so that they can work together musically. other wise no sound would be herd if the amp did not come on. am i right?
if this is correct i should be able to tap the wires going to my drivers door for the speakers and put a small boxed speaker under the dash..
