MId-High end Brand names for NEW website

With regards to warranty, at the higher ends, people know the equipment better, and are less likely to damage it. The odds are much lower that you'll see a 8W7 being powered by a 1000/1 mono amp. Thus warranty isn't a big issue for people. But I am looking into the whole warranty thing as we speak, and making my judgements on what needs to be done

(just a heads up.. not bashing!)
umm... I hope you're not meaning DLS instead of DSL, because you're not too likely to get DLS for online sales. and I'm pretty sure that, as Jordy said, RE is also out of the question, and good luck with Focal!
good idea... but try for some brands that are attainable.

RE is all over online in the USA ?
Iam not sure what kind of deal they have worked out with NorthernSPL... If you want the stuff wholesale you may have to go through him...
But something tells me RE will deal with you directly if you can meet thier minimum orders... from what I recall talking to an RE guy in the USA you have to commit to at least 50drivers at a time(and of course own a licenced buisness)
Edit: Who cares about RE anyway... check out my list at the beginning of the thread !!!!

the guys who have RE online in the states also have a retail store front. my .02 no company worth a spit should allow their products to be sold online with no way for their clients to get the service they deserve for the money they spent. I personally refuse to service or install products bought on-line. I'll install gear that was bought at another retailer but never on-line. Won't even sell my products on-line.

I know this is the way TC sounds does buisness so if you want some high end subs and RE won't deal Id look at them...
If I can buy online or dare I say 2nd hand without a warranty then I guess I'll just have to pay to have it fixed if it f's up...
But why exactly is it OK to sell online only if you have a storefront ? If the brand supports authorized online dealers then so be it...

but as I recall when I talked to someone at RE a little better then a year ago the min order was 50 units (or something) and they'd sell to anyone...
Which is one reason as to why RE will never ever be a company that is sold in many stores, mine for sure. If the Canadian dealer base had a good Canadian distributor to work with, this circumstance would never happen in the first place. As it sits now, what you are saying is that the Canadian importer right now is being undercut by the very person that he buys from. How on earth is it good to bite the hand that feeds you. If I were the Canadian Importer and I found out that the line was being direct shipped to Canada, I would look at my contract very closely....
So if what you say is true, why on earth would I want to buy from a company with shady business practices. I can just see this guy getting the RE line on his website, all authorized and then not selling anything as RE is still direct shipping to Canadian customers...
Fly by night companies are a dime a dozen, it takes time, money and ethics to make a line a good line, not what some kid on a forum says about it. Good luck getting the lines you are hoping for, most if not all of the companies listed have one thing in common, ETHICS. Look that up in the dictionary to understand why they will not sell to you.

Really... Ive only heard of that when a customer had no RE authorised dealer in their area...
And then I would think they'd have you contact their canadian rep... but again I have absolutly no idea what kind of deal they have worked with him
Iam talking wholesale prices anyway... $600can + shipping would probably save you a bit off retail but not alot...
If you wanted to resell the woofers for profit you would be cutting your margins pretty slim..
