I am getting one of those personal mini disk players. It runs on batteries and I think DC power supply. DOes this mean that I can wire it straight from the car battery with a swich and use it the car this way ? Are there any mounting brackets to have this installed in the car ?

yes you can use it in your car using the cigarette lighter adapter to your MD. As for mouthing brackets, there is no such thing. You just got to make your own or be creative. I Suggest you just use VELCRO and just stick it on ya dash.
