I am finally ready to put my Infinity Kappa 12.1 in his box and hook it up to a JL Audio 500/1.

The problem is that I just pulled out my old sub box and see that the wire connecting the amp to the subs is a 16 AWG!

What are you guys recommended for a proper AWG for this set-up?

Also, is it a problem if I use 16 AWG for a really short run (from the sub connectors to the box connectors, aproximately 4 inches)?

Thanks

should be fine, 16 guage will take up to 10 amps, which is more than your sub will ever get.

For the price use 12Ga twisted. Based on that alone its worth it.
