Hello all. I need some advise, I blew my focal mids 130kf. I have a set of alpine type r spr 13s brand new laying around. I am thinking of just replacing the mids. I am running an active setup. Alpine inaw900 with pxa-h100 set up as a 3 way set up. I am not using any passive crossovers. My amp is pdx4.150. Would you recommend this or should I replace the focal tweeter to the type r as well? Thanks for you help.

 

Well, you have the pieces so why not try it and see if you care for the resulting sound? If not, swapping out the tweets wouldn't be difficult to after the fact.
