money issues

hi gang.... you know, all winter i have been blabbing to paul and rob about competing this yr. and going to finals for usaci and iasca with my beautiful soon to be wife...... but my feeling for actually getting to the shows this yr. have slowly been deminishing...... no my love for car audio hasent dried up nor has there been a problem with gear or equipment..... and yes my fiance even WANTS me to attend these show, she supports me all the way........ my problem has absolutly nothing to do with the industry........ its the price of gas!!!! i have no problem going to support "the boys" when they put on a show.... hell dave and james know how many shows i attend, but now i filled up my little civic yesterday and it came to......................................$55.00 wholy fu#$ so to castlegar that 150.00 return plus entry fee plus food and anything eles that might come up..... prince george, same price....... and i drive a car that averages 44miles per gallon..... how the hell is my good friend joe going to compete with his 14miles per gallon toyota....... or the guys with vans...... iam sorry iam just sitting here at home feeling sorry for myself as i might not be able to attend as many shows as i would like and see my friends because of some fat cats who just want to bleed us dry.. buy the way, with the increase in the price of a barrel of oil over the past decade and at its current price... gas should be around .97 a litre.... not 1.25 a liter gas in the states one minute across the border is 3.15 a gallon or .69a litrer and sat in edson gas was 1.00 a litre just dont make cense to me.

Add the stupid cost of BC Ferries return trip and I think I will be staying here on the island thanks....we pay even more for fuel here as compared to the rest of Canada. "it costs us more to ship there"....

if you can't afford the gas then don't drive the car.

I just toured around BC in the last 3 weeks.
mainland went as high as 127.9
Island 122.9
Powel river 113.9
Kelowna 115.3

Here in the middle of MB its 114.9 as well.

My truck gets about oh 19 mpg.

too bad would be nice to see more people out at shows.

A tank of gas (55L) gives me about 220mi of city driving goodness, lasts me a week and a half, but I still cringe when I look at the total. Wish it was back around 85.9 like it was in the winter, 117.9 as of last night
