Hey, everything is coming together for finals nicely other then not being too sure about the passenger situation. Here is what the crew at Experts did yesterday. I will scan the pics of sound damping. These doors are very solid now, shouldn't be any resonance. If you want to see the old ones just click on my install tab.
New Panel 1
New Panel 2
The Other side panel

My Cap, It's always been there, i've just never had a decent shot of it before

Lookin' Good, Eh!

Looks clean.

Sense your going to finals, you wont mind the suggestion.. You need to put some kind of protective sheild over the 12v+ terminal of the capacitor. its worth 5 points. A simple bent plexi sheild would work.

Were already on it. It is covered by the facotry flip up panel, you can say it's a safe enough cover, but it's 1 small thing they might nail me on at finals. Yes, it's worth the time to do.

The rule book does say "securely covered".. The flip up cover is not "secure"... So yeah i would be doing something over the terminals.

Thanks guys. Steve did pretty well everything other then cut the panels, Wade did that. (Not Wade, Wade) Lance doesn't do that much in the shop anymore, no offense LO. But he is still the man with golden ears and the experience. I think well do the kicks this coming weekend. Aim them a little better, and do some mods to get them in farther, maybe a little higher. This set of pods is awesome, but I think things would have been done a little differntly if they knew I was taking it this far.

Forgive me if I am not seeing it, but how much different are they now from before? I can't see a clear pic of how the doors looked before

Sorry, I don't have a very good picture of what it looked like before, but in the one old pic on my install page you can see that the peice the midbass was mounted on was just big enough to hold it, at that time the door had a total of 4 different types of upolstry. The facotry speaker location in the top of the doors had grill cloth that was faded and ripped. Steve managed to get that peice off, rebuild it, and wrap it in new grill cloth. You see the peice that the midbass is on goes from the front of the door about 20 inches back where the door steps out, it was only about 7 inches before so it was obvoius that that was not factory, the carpet didn't match as good. The grill cloth matches perfectly with the plastic part of the door. We lowered the number of different materials on the door and brought back the facotry look.

That might have not been so clear to everybody, so here is a pic of the old door peice.
