Have not had a deck skip in years, even on very bumpy, pot holed U.S. roads with a lowered, stiffly sprung, ultra low profile tired, automobile. Maybe, I'm lucky??? Alpine decks by the way, and very well installed by myself using proper back support and vented foam cushion under the deck.

 

The only reel afordable deck that i can recomend would be the clarion music catcher but i'm not sure what the hard drive capacity is on these units.

 

alpine has options for the hard dive upgrade...
