I'm practically the distributor of that box and I can tell you they are complete crap. The back is so damn thin that the entire thing just blows up on you. Not to mention the cheap glue that MTX uses on those boxes. I've had to put nails in all of those boxes just to keep them together. It's complete crap. Don't waste your money on that box.

Haha, I'm not thinking I will, as I may need something that can do 1000W RMS @ 2 Ohms.

that amp is about 800 at 2 ohm im sure it would be quite fine and reliable that way also they are underated so that amp might do 850 rms on the sheet it comes with.

Yeah I know, I'm thinking who am I to give advice, huh?
But what can I say, I have A LOT of experience with lower-end gear lol

I never had any issues with the huge port on the Kicker CVR box ... thing was strong.
