Question

I have this subwoofer sitting in my room, but i cant figure out which model it is... all i know for sure is that it is a dual coil 12" concept subwoofer. I've looked on the internet and the only thing i can find that looks like it is the ex/cex-12, but the person who sold it to me claims it isn't... it also has no stickers or other writing aside from the concept logo on it

Do you have a multimeter so you can test what the resistance of the coils is? http://www.carstereopro.com/Merchant...alog/c165.html

Maybe a CPT or CEX model, for sure. If they are dual 6 ohm coils, probably a CEX. If they are dual 2, probably a CPT.

Looks like a CEX to me... dual 6ohm.

I believe CEX had the grey logo, CPT had white (or was it yellow...... been like 3 years since we sold that stuff)

What color is the logo?

hmm... guess ill have to invest in a multimeter to be sure... It has the white logo, and from the pic from that car stereo pro catalog site, it doesnt look like its a cpt, because it is flat in the center, like the cex, not the cpt... thnx for the input guys

funny you should say that, yes I did. I was looking at that because i was trying to decide what kind of box to put it in...but i think im gonna talk to the guy who sold it to me, because 200 is pretty ridiculous if u can pick it up for that cheap shipped, considering its used and a few years old.
