Need advice, heavy bass setup.

I own a '95 Toyota Celica GT Hatchback. It currently has a bone stock sound system, with the exception of an old Pioneer deck.

I want to upgrade the sound system, most likely just sub(s), amp(s), a sub box, and a deck. Altogether, with wiring and everything, I want to spend like, $400 or less. I'm willing to buy used or new, like from kijiji, ebay, usedeverywhere, I don't care, I just want a good deal.

The most important thing for me is good bass, since I listen to a lot of Rap, House, and Electro...

Can you guys help me out. I can probably set it up myself, so you don't need to factor in installation costs.

Thanks.

PM Jalat. He has a 10" DLS nod sub and Alpine 500 for $350. Both are great pcs of audio. Thats one of the better deals I've seen on here lately. Might be just what your looking for.

Well I don't know, if I spend $350 for just a sub and an amp, that doesn't really leave me much for a deck and wiring...

Its a pretty good deal at that price. If there is on thing that kills me its when people say they want the greatest system in the world, for less that $500.

If you want to piece your whole system together, I have an amp for sale, pm if you're interested.

I agree. The money that Jalat is asking is of GREAT value. You've also got a decent amp FS. It's going to be hard to make his budget cover everything he wants.

I understand what you guys are saying completely, which is why I am not asking for a top quality system. I am okay with only average quality, as long as I get some heavy bass...

Forget buying my stuff, cause your not going to get "heavy bass" from it. Its a pure SQ sub-stage.

pyramid from london drugs??? 400 isnt much of a budget at all considering what you want for it! ebay sometimes has alright deals for have(***) decent prices! I cant push you in any other direction as that budget is hard to get much with. jalat stuff is a great bargain but I dont think its the route your after givin its sq and would be hard to get a deck and wiring for 50 bucks LOL... make friends with a stereo shop LOL i dunno

Your apetite is larger than your stomach.... If you want to waste your money, go ahead and do so as you are shopping in the bargain basement with your budget. Used is about the only way for you to come up with anything that will work for you and then you take your chances with it. You would be far better off to go with a good cd player and then save up for the subs and amp.

just buy a deck and then start saving... quality is much cheaper to pay for the first time rather then buying crap gear and forking out more to fix or replace it!!
