Need help tuning amp for Techno Music ..

Well i need to know if i can some how make my subs sound better on Techno songs which have hard beats . Would changing the subsonic settings or something else help with this . Currently the subs are good at low frequencies but not on frequencies above 38 hertz , then it just sounds like a flat fart LOL.

So any suggestions rather then telling me to change my subs and build a new box , im not asking to get perfect sound i want to know if i can make this setup sound better on Techno or fast beats

First, most techno is recorded like crap, and has really poor bass, it is either weak, and dirty. Subsonic at around 25hz will clean up quiete a bit though. Also, what helps with techno listening is too run the front components as low as they go without problems around 60-70hz and play around with slopes, so that most music comes from the front speakers, but not a lot of speakers are happy playing low. Techno is pretty tricky to get to sound right. Also, having time allignment helps a ton with matching the rear stage to the front. I know, cause I am a techno maniac, and high distortion subs do not do very well.

between a sealed box and a ported box which one would be suitable?
i find that getting my system to sound right not only is tricky but also frustrating
no 2 songs are alike so im constantly changing setting here and there
my deck has time aligment and it works wonders...once i get the mids to work fine
my subs always sound delayed

i would have asked for the size of the sub only because in my experience (though limited) i have found that 10''s sound a bit tighter to me, which is something i find to be a key part to techno. what Sasha said about the subsonic filter is right because it will stop the oscillations that are extending the notes and making it sound muddy. i'm not a maniac like Sasha but for the few dance songs i listen to i find my 12''s do an ok job but can get a bit sloppy and make the bass sound out of time with the rest of the music, but i listen to mostly rap and reggae so mine setup works for that stuff pretty well. you may also want to tried a sealed enclosure. acoustically that will tighten the bass a lot

Between sealed or ported, it really makes no diff, as long as the box is made right. The way I set up my time delay is I used the sub as the reference point, and then delayed both front speakers equally to the point, that you no longer have that sub delay, and when it sounds as one, I delay the driver side front speaker a bit more, and look for that sweet spot, where the stage is where you want it.

Sub size makes no diff to me, as long as you got time delay set properly. My buddy has an 18" and it is dead on and punchy and whatever else you want to call it. I call it proper tuning.
